Shirley Ann Colby

Sigurd, Utah - Shirley Ann Torgersen Colby, age 66, of Sigurd, passed away peacefully June 12, 2015 in Richfield, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 8, 1948 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Kyle W. and Shirley Kunz Torgersen. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1967. She married Keith Lee Sorenson, September 6, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He passed away June 8, 1970. She married Steven Colby, August 14, 1971 in Ely, Nevada. He passed away February 12, 2014. Shirley loved to sew and quilt, go camping and fishing, but most of all she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Mom, thank you for always being there for us. There was never a time that you weren't. We will never forget you and those last precious moment we spent with you. Love you forever. Shirley is survived by her children: Traci and Gill Nichols of Elsinore; Wade and Karylene Colby of Monroe; Stephanie and Kerry Baker of Sigurd; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters and brothers: Bonnie and Mike Willden of Salt Lake City; Laurie and Delmer Eckersley of Salina; Kevin and Debbie Torgersen of Aurora; Donovan and Michelle Torgersen of Albert Lea, Minnesota; brother-in-law: Talmage Moosman of Bicknell. She is preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Shirley Torgersen; and a sister, Kyleen Moosman. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Sigurd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the ward chapel in Sigurd, Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Sigurd Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
