Steven Clyde Overson

Fayette, Utah - Steven Clyde Overson, age 51, of Fayette, died October 25, 2008 at his home. He was born April 27, 1957 in American Fork, Utah, a son of Clair Wallace and Della Fern Thornton Overson. He graduated from Delta High School, Class of 1975. He attended Utah valley Technical College, majoring in Mechanics and Oxygen-Acetylene Welding. He married Rusty L. Herrera in 1975 in American Fork, Utah. She died on Mother’s Day of 2001. He married Mary Lynne Beckstead Swan, May 25, 2006 in Fayette. He was a member of the LDS Church, and he enjoyed helping the community. He loved hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, going on the desert and helping others. He was very mechanically inclined. H could fix anything, but most of all he loved his family, friends and spending time with them. He is survived by his wife of Fayette; his parents, Clair and Sue Overson of Nephi; his children: Cammie and Celso Cruz of Fayette; Torin and Michelle Overson of Hinckley; Tyler and Rosy Overson of Delta; sisters and brothers: Sharon and Terry Abbott, Barry and Judy Overson all of Delta; DeAnna and Toyn Muntean of Tuscan, AZ; David and Debbie Overson of Lehi; step-children: Jeremiah Swan of Fayette; Tana Merryweather of Payson; Rachel Christiansen of Ogden; grandchildren: Ruban Cruz; Jessica and Jeff Butler; Gage Merryweather, Chase Merryweather, Luke J. Merryweather, Amber Smith, Robert Smkith, Quinton Christiansen, Destiny N. Christiansen, Daniel Christiansen, McKenna Jake Swan, Hunter Swan, Edgardo Overson, Sebastian Overson, Justin Overson, Destiny Paige Overson and Jayde Tanielle Overson. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 2:00P.M. in the Fayette Town Hall under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
