Steven E. Turner

Steven Edwin Turner, age 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born April 2, 1948 in Salina, Utah, the oldest of three boys born to Willis Edwin and Luana B. Brinkerhoff Turner. He grew up in Loa, Utah and graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1966. Steven married Janet Lewis, July 8, 1967 in Granger, Utah. To this union were born two handsome sons: Treavor Edwin and Trent Lewis Turner. Steven worked at Kennecott Copper for 20 years, and retired from Hill Air Force Base as a Control Tech after working for 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet of West Jordan; sons: Treavor E. and Christine Turner of Salt Lake City; Trent and Kariena Turner of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren: Afton and Cohen, both of Columbus; a brother: Bruce Willis and Marie N. Turner of Richfield; sister-in-law: Corinne P. Turner of Payson; and a brother-in-law: Marlin Miller of Manti. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father: Leonard Christensen; brother: James Kerry Turner; a sister-in-law: Karen L. Miller; nephews and niece: J.D. Turner, Dustin Turner and Kimberley Bagley. Grave side services will be held Monday, December 28, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 5 to 6 P.M. or at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, Sunday, December 27, from 6 to 8 P.M. or Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
