Aurora, Utah – Our kind and beloved Wife, Daughter, Stepmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend, Susan Colleen Dastrup Addey Rasmussen passed away, Sunday, September 26, 2010, after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born September 27, 1953, in Richfield, Utah, daughter of Newell and Colleen Dastrup. She graduated from North Sevier High School in 1971, and attended Snow College. She married Raymond Addey, May 31, 1980, in Salina, Utah. He died, February 2, 2000. She remarried Ronald Rasmussen, January 6, 2001, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Susan was a member of the LDS church. She was a compassionate person who loved to work with children and the disabled. She spent many years working as a teacher’s aid with special needs kids, and she also worked as a home health aid to the disabled. She will be dearly missed by family, friends, and those whom she served. She is survived by her husband Ronald Rasmussen of Aurora; mother: Coleen Dastrup of Salina; brothers: Paul and Denise Dastrup of Panguich; Newell David and Chantel Dastrup of Nephi; Kent Bardell and Lisa Dastrup of Cedar City; sisters: Brenda and Norman Tanner of Redmond; Karen and Kim Anderson of Richfield; many loved step children, and step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Addey; father: Newell D. Dastrup; sister: Diane Dastrup; Nephew: D.J. Henning; Aunt: Janet Larsen; Grandparents: Willis and Edna Larsen; Bardell and Genevieve Dastrup; Stepson-in-law: Dave Short. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at 12:00 noon, in the Aurora City Cemetery. Services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
