Salina, Utah - Ted L. Heath, age 81, formerly of Cody, Wyoming and a current resident of Salina, Utah, since 1999, passed away September 12, 2013 in Provo, Utah. He was born February 1, 1932 in Salina, a son of Leslie Hyrum and Afton Clara Hards Heath. Ted married Connie Rae Edwards, May 26, 1948 and they were later divorced. He married Valeria F. Vandeberghe Redman September 25, 1988 in Cody, Wyoming. Ted's career included working as a machinist mechanic at Gypsum plants, and a gang pusher for Marathon Oil Company. He owned and operated farms at Cody, Wyoming and Salina, Utah. His love was to raise good horses and his family. Ted and his sons owned and operated High Country Outfitters at Cody, Wyoming. Ted spent any opportunity he had to hunt, fish or be in the mountains. Ted is survived by his wife, Val, of Salina; sons: Dan and Marcia Heath of Mandeville, Louisiana; John and Laurie Heath of Salina; and his daughter, Shauna and Lonnie Tuss of Omaha, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters: Russell and June Heath of St. George; Lynda and Bill Richards of Kingsland, Texas; Launa and Charles Larson of Saledo, Texas; sister-in-law: Joe Ann Heath of St. George. He is also survived by Valeria's 11 children. He is preceded in death by his parents; Hyrum and Afton C. Heath; his first wife, Connie Rae Heath; a son, Teddy Lee Heath Jr.; a daughter, Vicky Rae Hubele; a grandson, Dillon Laine Heath; two sisters and two brothers: Phyllis Monson, Ollean Graham; Jim Heath and Gail Heath. Memorial services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Salina LDS Stake Center, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
