Ted "Lux" Leaming

March 30, 1944 — July 8, 2015

Sandy/Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, John Ted "Lux" Leaming, age 71, passed away July 8, 2015 at his home in Sandy of cancer. He was born March 30, 1944 in Salina, Utah, a son of John Wainwright "Jack" and Helen Folster Leaming. He graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1962. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam Conflict. Lux married Marta Bray, June 28, 2006 in Salt Lake City. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved the time he spent in San Carlos, Mexico and at his Accord Lake Property, riding four-wheelers. He will be greatly missed. Lux is survived by his beloved wife, Marta, of Sandy; a daughter: Aimee and Mark Wilson of Murray; a step-son: Brandon Kenning of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson: Jackson Barlocker; his brothers: Don Kirk Leaming of Salina; Gary and Lisa Leaming of Redmond; his mother-in-law: Faun Bray of Sandy. He is preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Helen Leaming; a sister and her husband: Ann and Brent Martin; and his father-in-law: Dudley Bray. Grave side services will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Monday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:230 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
