Escalante, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Teena Marie Christensen Pittman, age 49, of Escalante, passed peacefully away on August 4, 2016 in Panguitch, Utah, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born November 2, 1966 in Richfield, a daughter of Howard Deloy and Marilyn Kaye Barney Christensen. She graduated from Escalante High School, Class of 1985. Teena married Alan Kent Pittman, June 17, 1996 in Panguitch. She worked as a secretary for the Senior Citizens Center in Escalante for the past 15 years. She enjoyed her work and loved driving the Seniors on their monthly excursions to Cedar City or Richfield, or where ever they would go. She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed knitting, making crafts and coloring in coloring books. Teena is survived by her husband, Alan, of Escalante; a son, Joshua Pittman and his fiancee, Christina Wisnsiewski; and their two children: Kyle James Wisnsiewski and Stanlee Spencer Pittman, all of Wisconsin; her father, Deloy Christensen of Escalante; a brother, Kerry Christensen of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and two sisters: Debbie Hatfield of Perry, Utah; Tamra and Bill Higley of Queen Valley, Arizona. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Christensen. Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Escalante 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 80 South Center in Escalante, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Escalante Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
