Terry J. Heath

Aurora, Utah - Terry Joe Heath, 70, passed away December 28, 2022, at his home in Aurora, surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born July 1, 1952, in Salina, Utah to Jnard and Margaret Heath.

Terry graduated from North Sevier High School in 1971 and had also completed a diesel mechanic course at Sevier Valley Tech. He had an interest in general mechanics which sparked his interest and different career choices.

He married his high school sweetheart, Sally Rae Shaw, June 12, 1971 in Aurora. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, January 30, 1976.

Terry enlisted in the National Guard the summer of 1971. He served his country for 6 years, attending 2 basic trainings and monthly trainings. He completed his time with the National Guard in 1977 honorably.

The span of his career took him from Salt Lake City and then back to Aurora. Working for, Monroc, Dog Valley Coal Mine, Red Crick Mine, SUFCO, opening his own business, Wheeler's, and then retiring with the State of Utah Forestry and Fire in 2019.

Terry enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and being with his four boys: Cory, Brody, Chett and Kurt. He loved his boys and would support them in anything and all that they did. He loved watching them in any sport and was always there to tell them to go to the hoop. The grandsons can attest to this.

He will be missed by many family members and friends. Terry was always there to help whenever needed.

Terry survived by his wife Sally, of Aurora; his children: Cory Heath, Aurora; Brody Heath (Thalia Acevedo), Richfield; Chett (Jerusha) Heath, Monroe; Kurt (Tara) Heath, Richfield; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grand child; sister: Patsy Phillips; Brother and sister-in-law: Bill and KerriLynn Shaw, St. George.

He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Leo and Gena Shaw; brother's Mike Heath and Gary Heath; brother-in-law Danny Phillips; sister-in-law Colleen Shaw.

Special thanks to his team of Doctor's and IHC Hospice for the loving care they gave Terry the last several months.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2022, at 12 Noon in the Aurora LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 prior to the services.

Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 and the Utah Honor Guard will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
