Terry J. Hunt

Gunnison, Utah - Our beloved, Terry James Hunt, age 34, passed away at his home in Gunnison on July 20, 2016. He was born September 5, 1981 in Payson, Utah, a son of Jimmy Ivan and Juanita Sophia Rigby Hunt. Terry was a very outgoing person who enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and camping. He always found time for his family. He loved to cook and try new recipes. He worked in construction as a stucco mason and enjoyed working with others. He was always talking about his family, all of his children, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed joking around and telling tall tales to his nieces and nephews, about when he was younger. He was a great son, brother, uncle and father and he will be dearly missed. Terry is survived by his mother, Juanita Hunt of Centerfield; his sweetheart, Jessica Allen of Gunnison; children: Luna Hunt, Zyler Ivan Hunt, Wyatt Allen Hunt, Dominic Allen and Desirae Allen, all of Gunnison; his sister: Teena Rigby of Centerfield; nephews and nieces: Alejandro Uresti of Genola, Tyson Uresti of American Fork, Bryanna Marie Uresti of Genola, Sarah Uresti and Daisha Uresti, both of Payson. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Ivan Hunt. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Centerfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
