Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Thelma Carol Miller McDonald, age 74, passed away at her home in Salina on Monday, January 17, 2005, surrounded by her loving family. She was born, May 28, 1930 in Tipperary, Utah, a daughter of Sherman and Edna Harding Miller. She was educated in the Salina Schools, graduating from North Sevier High School. She married Bruce McDonald, July 13, 1950 in Richfield, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church, where she served in the Nursery and as a Primary Teacher. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and she loved to go for walks. Carol is survived by her husband Bruce, of Salina; children: Marcia and Bobby Herman, Lehi; Janet and Dick Gates , Ajo, Arizona; Gerald and Emily McDonald, Aurora; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother: Shirley and Ted Anderson, West Jordan; Afton and Jack Harris, Kearns; Sherma Sherrard, Provo; Frankie Miller, Salina; Cornell and Peggy Miller, Ferron. She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law: Clarence and Edith McDonald and a grandson, Alan Herman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
