Tim Anderson

Sigurd, Utah – Richard Tim Anderson, age 79, passed away September 21, 2020 in Lehi, Utah. He was born January 3, 1941 in Richfield, a son of Floyd Bernadot and Leda May Anderson. He grew up on the family farm in Sigurd, farming and raising sheep with his Dad and Mom. Tim had 6 older sisters to dote on him and one older brother. He graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1959 and then attended Diesel Mechanics in Utah County. Tim married Sharon Taylor Brinkerhoff August 18, 1968 in Richfield, Utah. He worked for Utah State Road for a short time in the engineering department. He then took over the family farm and ranch. Tim enjoyed designing and building, he was a perfectionist in everything he attempted. Tim designed and built a horizontal drilling rig to drill for water and develop springs on Boobie Hole Mountain, the family mountain ranch. Tim had many hobbies. He enjoyed trapping with his father-in-law, Vance Taylor; leather working and gun making. He also enjoyed prospecting and he was a rock hound. Tim was respected for his water witching throughout the central Utah area. He had a passion for history and loved to read. Tim and Sharon loved Boobie Hole Mountain and they spent every summer there in the family cabin, working, tending sheep and developing springs and fixing fences. Tim was a member of the Wool Growers Association and Cattleman Association. Tim and Sharon have many life-long friends that stopped often to visit and have a drink, be it at the cabin on Boobie Hole or the Sheep camp or at their beautiful home on the farm. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Sigurd; her children: Doug and Lori Brinkerhoff of Oregon; Karla and Gary Sorenson of Sigurd; 3 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Chad and Jennifer Anderson of Richfield; a sister, Virginia Jensen of California. He is preceded in death by his parents; and all of his siblings: Barbara and Harold Ence, Hal Anderson, Faun and Garth Hawley; Dorothy and Jack Hepner, Renee and Courtney Ogden, Maxine and Kenneth King. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 11:00 A.M. in the Fremont Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. Burial will be in the Fremont Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
