Brigham City, Utah – On October 10, 2014 we lost our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend Timothy Charles Powell, age 50 of Brigham City. Tim was born on March 26, 1964 to Charles Robert and Hilma Jenny Spikings Powell, in Norwich, New York. Tim grew up in Gunnison and graduated from Gunnison Valley High School with the class of 1982. He went on to attend Utah State University where he graduated with a Bachelors degree of English in 1995. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, and the Utah National Guard. He married Marcie Silva on December 12, 1992. They later divorced. Tim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He worked as a Lab Tech at Autoliv in Brigham City, where he enjoyed associating with his co-workers. Tim was in love with the game of golf. If not at work he could usually be found at the golf course with his friends. He also enjoyed hunting, and fishing. He was an artist who loved to act, and to write. Above all Tim was a passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast. He is survived by his mother Hilma Shelton; his sister Tina and Dave Jensen of Salina; his step-mother Alice Powell of Brigham City; his niece Angela and Kent Shaw of Salina; his nephew Matthew Jensen of Salina; his step-brothers: Samuel Brittain Jr; John P. Brittain. He was preceded in death by his father Charles R. Powell; his step-father Jack Shelton. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36, and the Utah Honor Guard will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 27, 2014 in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Services under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, and Salina, Utah. As his parting gift to this world Tim gave the gift of life. Tim was a donor. In lieu of flowers the family requests, and Tim would prefer, that you use the funds as Tim would to either take a trip on a Harley, where happy times spent with Tim biking can be remembered, or to play a round of golf in his memory, where more or less accurate stories of Tim’s amazing skill on the golf course will make Tim smile from his heavenly home.
