Troy R. Hampton

Koosharem, Utah - Troy Robert Hampton, age 56, passed away at his home in Koosharem on December 19, 2018. He was born December 15, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Robert LeRoy and Irma Yvonne Carlson Hampton. He married Julie Coombs November 27, 1982 in Magna, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Michelle Monroe September 9, 1995 in Scipio, Utah. They were later divorced. Troy served his country in the United Army. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Troy worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, handiwork and helping his friends and neighbors around Koosharem. He will be greatly missed. Troy is survived by his three children: Robert LaRay Hampton, Jake Hampton and Sharle Michelle Hampton; his four grandchildren: Tyler, Trager, Tucker and Alia Hampton; his mother, Irma Yvonne Knapton; sisters and brothers: Tonia Hampton of St. George; Tina Hampton of American Fork; Tracy and Deana Hampton of Holliday; Terrin Hampton of Koosharem; Toren and Stefani Karlsson of Beijing, China; Tammy Hampton of St. George; Priscilla and Lynn Morgan of Circleville; John Morgan Hampton of Salt Lake City ; Nina and John Renner of Arkansas; and his step-mother, Vanya Hampton of Koosharem. He is precede in death by his father, Robert LeRoy Hampton and his step-father, LeRoy Lewis Knapton. Memorial services for Troy will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 and the Utah Honor Guard will be held in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
