Una Pierce Adams

Richfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Una Pierce Adams, age 80, of Richfield, died March 21, 2008 in Provo, Utah. She was born April 16, 1927 in Fremont, Utah, a daughter of Miel Edwin and Minnie Albrecht Pierce. She attended Wayne High School in Bicknell, Utah. On April 16, 1944, her 17th birthday, she married Darrell Brinkerhoff Adams in Fremont, Utah. Una and Darrell both grew up in Wayne County. After the war, they lived in Salt Lake City and then they moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1963. After Darrell retired as a mechanic in Las Vegas, they moved to Richfield in 1984. Darrell died March 6, 2001. Una attended Clark County Community College in Las Vegas for several years. She was a member of the LDS Church. Una enjoyed hunting and fishing with her family. She enjoyed making jewelry, traveling, canning and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her sons and their children, and her sisters and their families. She is survived by her two sons: Dick Andrew and Teresa Adams of Elko, Nevada; William Glen and Linda Adams of Las Vegas, Nevada; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren: sisters: Ina Peterson of Anchorage, Alaska; Laurell Taylor of Boise, Idaho; Shonna Rae (Deceased) and J.R. Torgerson of Richfield; Lana and Cline Christiansen of Provo. She was preceded in death by her 11 year old son, Darrell Ben Adams; her parents; two sisters: Nita Taylor Nielsen and Shonna Rae Torgerson; brothers-in-law: Dean Adams, Jay Adams, Vearl D. Taylor, Phill Nielsen, Ralph Peterson and Arland Taylor. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 7 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Grave side services and burial will be Saturday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. in the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
