Vee B. Christensen

Bicknell, Utah - Our beloved aunt, Vee Beth Rasmussen Christensen, age 94, of Bicknell, died July 24, 2010 in Richfield. She was born November 12, 1915 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Francis Marion and Emelia Josephine Meyer Rasmussen. She married Howard Lee Christensen, July 26, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died January 23, 1997. Vee was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries. She and her husband worked for several years in the Manti Temple, doing sealings. She was a member of the D.U.P. Camp Thurber. Vee was a hard worker, working right along side her husband Howard, cutting timber on the mountain, milking cows in the dairy, working on the farm and in the fields. She also worked as a waitress and housekeeper for several different restaurants and motels in the area. Vee and Howard worked as janitors for the schools in Bicknell, the Thurber LDS Ward Building and the Seminary building. Vee would always go with Howard, fishing and they always knew where all the good fishing holes were to be found. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel in Bicknell, where friends may call for viewing Friday morning from11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Bicknell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
