Monroe, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Carlyn Veon Nielsen Jensen, age 73, passed from this earthly existence on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, in Gunnison, Utah. She was born November 19, 1937 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of Charles Leroy (Guy) and Mulvina Carlion (Vee) Ditlevsen Nielsen. She married Earl Leray Jensen, October 2, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ray died July 21, 1993. Veon was a member of the LDS Church, serving as a Primary Teacher. Mom was always a social bug: playing bingo, doing Primary Work and 4-H Work. She loved gardening and being with her family. When she was able, she attended all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. She enjoyed doing needle work, fishing, flower gardening, crocheting, reading, painting and socializing with her friends. She is survived by her children: Peggy Lee and Russell Forbush of Monroe; Phillip Earl and Deanne Jensen of Elsinore; VeeAnn and Mark Bailey of Richfield; 9 grandchildren: Russell Brad and Deena Julander of Ely, Nevada; Rachel Dawn and Rocky Barney of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Cecilia Miranda and Chris Worthen of Elsinore; Alden Guy and Hailey Forbush of Richfield; Tiffany Ann Nebeker of Joseph; Ruachel Lee and Alex MacLean of Springville; Megan and Brian Ballard of Lehi; Ashley Nicole and Jayden Abraham of Central Valley; and Elder Derrick Earl Forbush, serving in the Maryland Baltimore LDS Mission; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean N. Gifford of Provo. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 12 Noon in the Monroe LDS Stake Center, 140 South Main Street in Monroe. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M or Monday morning at the Stake Center in Monroe from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will next to her beloved husband in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
