Vera Kokott Richfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Vera Mae Fassett Kokott, age 80, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, June 14, 2003 in Provo, Utah. She was born October 24, 1922 in Rolette, North Dakota, a daughter of Frank Ales and Mable Josephine Melhus Fassett. She married Max J. Kokott, October 19, 1944 in Hastings, Minnesota. He died December 15, 2000. Vera was a very active member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Richfield. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary in the Parish and was recognized last year as the longest standing member of St. Elizabeth. She was active in the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and was active in the Senior Citizens. Vera was a loving person, always caring for everyone around her. She had a great love for animals, always caring for any that came her way. She had a special way of making others laugh. She enjoyed going to her church and senior citizen activities, especially bingo. She had a wonderful personality and loved each of her family members very much. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 12 Noon in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 5990 North Hiway 89, south of Richfield. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 7 P.M. at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
