Virginia E. Brewer

Richfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Virginia Ella Eite Brewer, age 92, of Richfield, died August 7, 2008 in Provo, Utah. She was born July 17, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Robert Henry and Ella Elizabeth Busby Eite. She married Harold Aaron “Slim” Brewer, October 30, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died December 14, 1987. Virginia was very active in the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries as a Sunday School Teacher, Primary Teacher and Relief Society Visiting Teaher. She and her husband, Slim, owned and operated the Arctic Circle Drive Inn in Richfield for many years. She loved to go fishing, hunting and camping with her family. The annual fall deer hunt was a family event that she looked forward to every year. She loved being with her family. She was a member of the Ladies Jeep Posse. Virginia was a very loving and caring person. She was always friendly and would go out of her way to talk with people. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many, many friends. Virginia is survived by her children: Barbara Marilyn (deceased) and Ramon Aaron of Richfield; Sharon Naomi (Kay, deceased) Syddall of Richfield; Harold Robert (Bob) and Eloise Brewer of Annabella; Randy Lewis Brewer, deceased; Brian Earl and Toni Brewer of Glenwood; Darrel Lynn Brewer of San Francisco, California; Jeffery J. and Lisa Brewer of Annabella; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Openshaw of Washington. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Lois Ann Aaron; one brother and three sisters: Robert LeRoy Eite; Marjorie Anderson, Lorraine Harris and Naomi Bistriski. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2008 at 12 Noon in the Richfield 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 801 North 500 East in Richfield. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or at the 5th Ward Chapel Monday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
