Virginia W. Christensen Aug 15, 1919 - March 5, 2003 Richfield, Utah - Virginia Whyte Jensen Christensen, age 83, of Richfield, died March 5, 2003 in Richfield, Utah. She was born August 15, 1919 in Richfield, a daughter of George Clement and Lora Edith Nelson Whyte. She graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1937. She married Duane Jensen, May 31,1947. They were later divorced. She married Clyde L. Christensen, October 14, 1980 in Elko, Nevada. He later died. Virginia enjoyed art, music, doing ceramics and she loved her animals. She enjoyed traveling and in her later years, she traveled a lot with Clyde. She loved working in her garden. When she lived in Richfield, she worked at Intermountain Farmers. Virginia grew up in Richfield, and live there until 1960 when she moved to Salt Lake City. She loved living there and she worked at St. Marks Hospital. She moved back to Richfield 6 years ago. She is survived by her daughter: Lora Lee and Bill Peterson of Richfield; one grandson: Michael Peterson of Salt Lake City; her three loyal cats: Ralph, Charlie and Nick. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Richard Whyte and Scott Whyte. Grave side services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Care of Sevier Valley Inc. at any Zions Bank, to help the homeless companion animals in Sevier County.
