Wade R Cook

Torrey, Utah - Wade Rue Cook, age 75, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, in Tucson, Arizona, of lung cancer. He was born November 17, 1935, in Torrey, UT, to loving parents, Rudolf and Iva Mae Curtis Cook. Wade came to this earth with his twin sister Wadeen, as the youngest of ten children. After losing their father at a young age, the twins spent their days with their siblings Clella, Phyllis, Zella, Coquella, Utahona, ReahDell, Curtis and Needra while their mother worked to support the family. Wade served in the United States Air force. He then began his family with his wife Kaye Peck. Together they had eight children: Danny, Kelly, Kevin, David, Kaylyn, Michelle, Misti, and Malinda before divorcing after thirty two years. Wade was self employed in the Tree Service Business, and was a very hard worker. He loved hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and the beauty of the outdoors. Survivors include: his ex-wife, Kaye Cook; children: Kaylyn Cook, Kevin Cook, Kelly Cook, Misti Evans and Malinda Neff, all of Salt Lake City; Danny Cook of Missoula, MT; Michelle Cook of Tucson, AZ; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Brother: Curtis and Lew Cook, of Torrey; Sisters: Utahona and Harvey Williams of Elk View, West Virginia; Needra and Dick Johnson of Salt Lake City; Wadeen and Harold Straight of Denver CO. Wade was preceded in death by his parents: Rudolf and Iva Mae Curtis Cook; a son David Lester Cook; and his sisters Clella Mary Pace, Phyllis Cook, Zella Meeks, ReahDell Beck and Coquella Morris. Grave side services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Torrey Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
