Warren Carter

June 19, 1969 — January 11, 2007

Annabella, Utah - Warren James Carter, an amazing, hard working, talented, special and very loved person, returned to his Heavenly Father January 11, 2007. He was born June 19, 1969 in Richfield, Utah, a son of Charles Terry and Dixie Heaps Carter. His years as a youth were spent at the family farm in Sevier, Utah, raising sheep, breaking horses, riding motorcycles and spending time with his buddies. He received his Eagle Scout award in 1984 and served as FFA President his Sophomore year of High School. Warren graduated from South Sevier High School in 1988 with a 2 year welding certificate from Sevier Valley Technology College. That summer he met the love of his life. Warren married Amber Bingham July 7, 1989 in Joseph, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple July 6, 1991. Warren loved and adored Amber all of his life, always calling her his “beautiful bride”. Together, they have five amazing children: Justin James, Taylor Kendell (who preceded his father in death), Jordan William, Kaitlyn Dixie and Karlie Brook. Warren loved his children deeply and enjoyed spending time with them, fishing, camping, teaching them, and watching their faces light up on Christmas morning. Warren’s work was his life. He took great pride in his work and was excellent in his accomplishments. He overcame a severe learning disability and worked his way from welder to superintendent at Rocky Mountain Fabrication where he worked for many years. His work took him and his family to many fun and interesting places. In 2000 he suffered an illness that did not allow him to continue working. He never gave up. He went back to school, first at Snow College Richfield for one year, and then Southern Utah University for three. He was working towards an Engineering degree. He developed a love for writing stories. He enjoyed learning and teaching his children what he learned. Warren was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed serving others. Friends were really important to Warren and he was always willing to help out his friends and family. He was inventive, creative, and much more intelligent than he ever gave himself credit for. He was a gift in the lives of all who knew him. His gentle nature and kind heart always shone through. He lived a full life and is happy to have joined his special son and his Grandpa Charlie, whom he loved and looked up to, in Heaven. Warren is survived by his wife, Amber Bingham Carter and their four children of Annabella; his father, Charles Terry Carter, mother and step-father: Dixie and Ted Yowell, all of Richfield; his siblings: Terri Lin and Alan Smith of Columbia, Maryland; Tamra Carter of Henderson, Nevada; Valerie and Ray Stokes of Wrangle, Alaska; Charles Wade and Lynette Carter of Fairview; Neal Heaps Carter of Sigurd; Ryan Jack and Jami Carter of Nevada; 21 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Taylor Kendell Carter; and his grandparents: Charlie J. and Bessie Long Carter, William Lester and Leola Woolsey Heaps.
