Wayne L. Curtis

Aurora, Utah - Wayne Lorenzo Curtis, age 70, of Aurora, passed away on January 22, 2005 in Richfield, Utah after a short illness. He was born June 6, 1934 in Aurora, Utah, a son of Floyd and Bessie Mason Curtis. Wayne was a big fan of all sports, driving many miles to attend games whenever possible. He participated on a bowling team for many years. Wayne was a member of the LDS Church and he served in the United States Air Force. He was involved with the Salina Riding Club and was a member of the Salina American Legion Post #36. Wayne worked as a truck driver for many years and later as a flagger on construction sites. Wayne is survived by his sisters and brothers: Jenny and Arden White, Onda Vee and George Dotson, Ilene and Morris Parsons, Dent P. and Kathleen Curtis, all of Richfield; Lois and Clark Elder of Marysvale; Gloria and Larry Stewart of Sigurd; Lane and Chandra Curtis of Boise, Idaho; Bladen (Deceased) and Rita Curtis of Salt Lake City; Gaye (Deceased) and Rich Perkins of Castle Rock, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 12 Noon in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Tuesday evening from 6 to 7:30 P.M. and at the ward chapel in Aurora, Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Salina American Legion Post #36 will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
