Wayne V. Branting

Mayfield, Utah - Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Wayne Victor Branting, age 72, died March 28, 2013 at his home in Mayfield after a car he was working on, fell and crushed him. He was born April 16, 1941 in Ogden, Utah, a son of Victor and Clairice A. Moulton Branting. Wayne served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Beverly Oldroyd, December 21, 1963 in Sandy, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Lee Miller, May 13, 1978 in Elko, Nevada. They were later divorced. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and being a camp host, ATV riding and wood crafts. Wayne enjoyed his friends and family. He will be missed. He is survived by his two sons: Randy Branting of Russell, Kansas; Troy Branting of Salina; 4 grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Shirley Horrigan, Jerry Strasburg and Janet Piep, all of Mayfield; Steve Perry of Magna and Richard Perry of Sandy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Clairice Branting; and a sister, Rhonda Berrett. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the City Hall in Mayfield, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
