Woodland Hills, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and best friend, Wilford Don Pace, age 76, returned to his Heavenly Father after just completing a session at the Logan LDS Temple. He passed quickly and painlessly from a massive heart attack. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends as family and friends were his whole life. Wiff was born June 23, 1935 in Torrey, Utah, a son of Don William and Clella Mary Cook Pace. He graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1953. He then attended Utah State University in Logan. Wiff married the love of his life, Carol Suzette Farmer from Fremont, Utah, November 25, 1958 in the Manti LDS Temple. Wiff loved people and that love led him to a career in sales. After retiring he did many things and was able to enjoy another of his passions, traveling. Meeting new people in new places was the part of traveling he enjoyed the most. Wiff was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and gardening. We know that heaven's gardens will be better in his care. He enjoyed being around and doing things with his grandkids. Wiff and his beloved wife spent much of the past 10 years working as a part time missionaries at the Famiy History Center and Member Location in St George. In general Wiff was not comfortable as a public speaker. However in the mission field engaged in the Lord's work he was a very eager, sincere and convincing speaker. We will miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife, Carol of Woodland Hills; his children: Christy and Dave Thayer of Parowan; Douglas and Marcy Pace of Elk Ridge; Sheila and Gary Griffin of Woodland Hills; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Iva May Hickman, Rudolph and Paula Pace, all of Torrey; Sonja Pace of St. George; and his mother-in-law: Erma Farmer of Richfield.
