William Joseph Navarro

March 17, 1947 — September 30, 2015

Centerfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor William Joseph Navarro, age 68, returned home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in Provo, Utah. Bill was born on March 17, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York, a son of Ramon and Doris Eva Belliveau Navarro. Bill married Rosemarie Irene Donahue on November 24, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. They had two children Donna and Billy, but later divorced. He married Mary Kelly on October 7, 1973 in Crestwood, New York . They had a son Christopher. They divorced in 1998. Bill Married Linda DIxon Dillingham on December 27, 2002 in Kensington, Maryland. Bill served in the US Army 34th Engineer Battalion as a Construction Surveyor from 1969 to 1971. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he served in many callings including Primary Teacher, Assistant Scout Master, High Priest Group Leader, Ward Missionary, and Facilities Maintenance. Bill had a varied work life also. He worked as a New York Police Officer, as a Head of Security, and as A Building Engineer at the Washington D.C. Temple. He served on the Gunnison Valley Senior Citizens Board, and was a member of the Centerfield Oliver Russell American Legion Post #105. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking, but his true hobby was people. Bill loved people and enjoyed socializing, but he especially loved his family Bill is survived by his wife Linda Navarro; his children: Donna Navarro of Manassas, Virginia; Billy and Bonnie Navarro of Manassas Virginia; Christopher and Robin Navarro of Alexandria, Virginia; granddaughter Shanna Wilson of Manassas Virginia; ex-wife Mary Navarro of Alexandria, Virginia; stepfather Tom McQuade of Woodbridge, Virginia; brothers: John and Darlene Navarro of McComb, Mississippi; Ronnie McQuade of Colonia, New Jersey; sister Linda Palczynski of Woodbridge, Virginia; the 7 children and 25 grandchildren of Linda Navarro. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his 1st wife Rosemarie Irene Donahue; his sister Donna Marie Navarro; his beloved granddaughter Lilly Harper. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday October 7, 2015 in the Centerfield 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the ward chapel from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. prior to services. Burial with military honors accorded by the Centerfield Oliver Russell American Legion Post #105, and the Utah Honor Guard will under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
