Winona Cataline

Nova Winona Thomas Cataline, age 97, of Centerfield, died October 27, 2016 in Centerfield, Utah. She was born December 14, 1918 in Solmervell County, Texas a daughter of John C. and Bessie Bedwell Thomas. She graduated from Calipatria Union High School, Class of 1936. She married Eugene Cyrus Major, August 14, 1938 in Yuma, Arizona. They were later divorced. She married George Pershing Cataline, December 31, 1963 in Escondido, California. He died March 18, 1997. Winona is survived by a daughter, Gail Jean Butler of Mayfield, Utah; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Bessie Bedwell Thomas; a daughter, Marsha Darlene Meregillano; two brothers and one sister: John Thomas, Avie Doris Thomas and James Joseph Thomas. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Oak Hill Memorial Park, 2640 Glenridge Road in Escondido, Calfornia. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 P.M. or at the Oak Hill Memorial Park Monday one hour prior to the graveside services. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Memorial Park under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
