Salina, Utah - Our sweet Mom, Grandma, Sister, and Friend passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her home due to health complications on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Mom was born on November 6, 1958 as the first daughter and second child of Bud G. and Louise T. Larsen. She was raised in Salina, UT where she enjoyed growing up with lots of family nearby, riding horses, herding cows, high school activities and drill team, chasing boys, and drag racing in her dad’s old patrol car. After graduating from North Sevier High School in 1977, she married Kirk G. James and made their home in Gunnison where they raised 4 children. She thoroughly enjoyed being an at-home mom. She was active in PTA, crafting, and would go without to make sure her kids had everything they could want and to know they were loved. When we were all in school, she began working as an EMT and from there went on to work at Gunnison Valley Hospital and earned a degree to become an x-ray technician. In 1998, things went south and so did Mom…. She moved back to Salina near her parents and dear Aunt Inez. She went on to work at Salina City Hall, the Senior’s Center, and eventually at Holly’s Pantry where she was currently employed. She loved being able to socialize with all who entered. We are blessed by her lasting example and love. She will be greatly missed by her children: Ra’Shelle (Derek) Pulsipher, Clint (Celicia) James, Mariah James (Jermey Kenney), and Morgan Larsen James; 10 Grandchildren: (Taylor, Brentlee, KaraLee, Ashlyn, Jazlyn, Kembree, Abigayle, Charlotte, Gentry, Kixsten); Sister: Venise (Troy) Knadle; and Brothers: Scott (Eileen) Larsen, and Mark (Cindy) Larsen; as well as many close nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North in Salina, where friends may call for viewing Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm and Thursday morning from 9:00-10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. We as a family are so thankful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, any hugs will do! We are incredibly grateful for any assistance with final expenses.
