Zane Saderholm

Teasdale, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Betty Zane Givhan Saderholm, age 76, died suddenly and very unexpectedly at her home in Teasdale on Friday, May 27, 2011 of a heart attack. She was born October 27, 1934 in Montgomery, Alabama, a daughter of Edward Holmes and Madge Dobbins Givhan, Jr. She married Charles A. Saderholm and they were later divorced. Zane received her BA in Social Work from Utah State University and worked as a Social Worker for the State of Utah. She was active in the local Baptist Church. Zane was an avid back packer and hiker; a seamstress and also an avid reader, being named after the famous author, Zane Gray. Mom saved every stray cat and dog she could!!! She loved animals. She is survived by her children: Eric Saderholm of Elko, Nevada; Linnea Saderholm of Teasdale and Davin Saderholm of Salt Lake City; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother: Edward Givhan of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. At her request, her remains have been cremated and family services will be held later, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
